Can anyone recommend a lawyer in Guardamar del Segura please who speaks English. My Spanish is very basic.

It would be helpful to know (at a high level) what you need the lawyer for - as I think most people on here will likely have used a lawyer when purchasing their property and so could recommend someone for that (we used Home (mnostrumlaw.com) for example who were excellent).

However if it's for something else (such as divorce / inheritance / commercial dispute) then the pool of people who have 1st hand experience of using a solicitor in Spain to support them through that process probably rapidly declines.

I'd also say - again depending on the circumstances - that in most cases you don't need to restrict your choice to your location (presumably Guardamar) as many discussions can be done either over the phone or electronically etc.

Hi George. Thanks for the reply. It’s a bit long winded to state exactly what it is but in short it’s about a rent increase. I want to be able to walk to a lawyer and sit face to face to talk.

Hopefully others will be along with personal recommendations but it appears that :

Your Spanish Solicitor - Avocat, Anwalt, Abogado - - About Us (miguelangelcolombo.com)

are based in Guardamar and in their list of services specifically mention rental agreements.

It might be worth giving them a call to explain the situation and see if they are in a position to advise.

Hi Janey,

We have dealt with this matter previously and would be more than happy to assist.

Just give our reception team a call on 865 756 058 and we can chat about this further.

Kind regards

Paul

Hello

I suggest you get a translator to accompany you then you dont need to restrict your choice to  finding someone English speaking.

Cheers
