Does anyone know of an agent in Guardamar who can arrange an appointment, complete paperwork and accompany me to the correct office to change the address on my residencia. I need someone who can take me as I do not drive or speak Spanish.

As usual, I agree with Ray.

We need our passport numbers changing on our residency certificates, but we're waiting until we can go and swap our bits of paper for pretty plastic cards.

I know, but I'm worried that it might go against me if I failed to notify new address information. Everyone I speak to says something different. I ask one gestor they say I don't need to worry leave it then another says I need to do it. I just don't want to not comply with regulations and find myself in trouble

Ok thanks. I just worry that the authorities think I'm still in Madrid and I'm in Guardamar. Just don't know what to do

The gestor telling you to do it probably just wants money from you. Relax and enjoy the spring weather.

This post that was quoted has been deleted.

I had to sleep on it Ray, as I couldn't remember where I'd put it:

I've also found a form on this government website for 'Comunicación al registro central de extranjeros de cambios de situación':

http://extranjeros.mitramiss.gob.es/es/modelossolicitudes/Modelos_comunicaciones/COMUNICACION-CAMBIO-SITUACION.pdf

This actually looks far too simple to be true - fill it in and post or deliver it. The problem is that your change of details might, if you're lucky, be recorded in the system, but I can't see the authorities sending you a new residencia certificate.

There is also an online way of notifying a change of address if you've got an electronic certificate, and one of the authorities that are notified is DGP - the police, but again I can't see the authorities sending you a new residencia certificate:

Went to the town hall yesterday they did a digital certificate for me and I  then went online to notify change of address to DGP and INSS . Received reply stating notification successful so will just have to wait and see. Hopefully all will be well. Thankyou both for all your help
