Do I need marriage certificate if only one income for residencia

My wife and I are looking to be coming residents in October between us we show that we are able to support ourselves by what I have read so far. The only thing is, is that the income will becoming from a company pension in my name, rental income from a house in the UK in joint names and a lump sum which is also in joint names. My wife at the moment does not have any income in her name. My question is will we need our marriage certificates to prove that ewe can both support ourselves.
