Hi, this is my first post so hello! I am looking for advice on a good property lawyer as I'm looking to buy a holiday home in Jalon town centre for me and my two girls. Hoping to have long summer holidays to use the local pool and restaurants and to travel the area. Is the area good and why is th...

...ere so many properties for sale?

Thanks Marco

Hi

Jalon is a fantastic place, I have been here for 11 years and wouldn't want

to be anywhere else. 20 mins for the sea benissa  Altea Calpe Benidorm

and then there are the views.

Thank you for your response. Really stuck in a dilemma,  really liked Jalon when I had a very quick walk around and also saw the beautiful valley and municipal pool. As I'm a single dad with a 5 year old and 17 year old the time spent on holiday there is important to me/us. Has it enough cafe, bars and restaurants locally and the most important question, do I choose Jalon over a complex next to the beach near Denia? Help!!!!!

It depends on what you want, Jalon is quiet at times Its the real Spain

and feels homely, were if you have a 5-year-old and a teenager a holiday

complex might be better more things to do..

not putting you off Jalon, Its has good  restaurant and bars and a nightclub

that opens on Sunday for teenagers. as I said I love it here.

I would think that they might prefer Denia. Jalon, yes, is a lovely town, but what are they going to do? The shops don’t really cater much for tourists; of course there are cafes, bars and some restaurants. But I would think for a couple of kids, unless they speak Spanish, it could be difficult; the attraction of the shops will wear off rapidly - butcher/baker/florists/supermarket and so on.  It may be better to think of day trips out from Denia, whilst in a base with more to do. Most of the ex-pat population is older and most of the local people of their age will be Spanish. There are of course children here who have grown up in both cultures, but meeting them might be difficult. It’s a quiet country town!!!! Denia is the nearest thing to excitement! There is of course Javea/Xabia which is a lovely small town on the coast, which does cater more for a holiday population without having become spoilt.

Thanks for your response,  think if it was just for me I'd choose Jalon but I'll have a look at Denia and go from there.

By the sound of it, you have made your mind up?.

Jalon is a place where you can relax and let the world

go by. but it does have it Saturday and Tuesday markets.

and of course their fiestas. and you're not far away from the

beachs and all the theme parks.

Not totally made up yet, will travel over very soon and decide then. Think Jalon is a great place and location wise not too far from the coast and other villages/towns. Just the swimming pool and coast on your doorstep is drawing me in!

Absolutely having a pool and the sea close by makes all the difference.
