Brittany Ferries released their 2023/4 timetable today.   It was almost impossible to book anything earlier today but the site seems to be working again now.

Absolute disgrace.

We have been club members for 20 years. We did not get any emails from BF to tell us the timetable would be released.

Even if we do. Other members will paste it all over Facebook and forums for all to see. (Only once they have secured their bookings you understand).

which is where I saw it.

So I  went online, went through the booking which came to £720 and st the end it failed . When I finally got through the booking the following day, the price had risen to close on £900.

so i won’t be booking and will be cancelling the out bound of our next crossing from the UK. We are going to drive through France instead.

BF should get someone in from Amazon’s IT system out to sort this ridiculous situation we face every year. Two days after BF released the sailings, they sent me an email.

Club  members should get priority for at least 48 hours after an email. Booking should be restricted by way of membership number. Then it be opened to everyone else.

But are BF bothered when they have a monopoly?. Well they should be, because the sailings I did not book and the one I am cancelling. Are on out of season sailings when the ships are not usually full.

We spent all day on Monday trying to get various crossings for next year (dog friendly cabins are difficult to get).

After various system crashes etc we got what we wanted but some of the prices changed during the booking process.

We would have booked regardless (as you say BF have a monopoly!) but after securing our crossings we wrote to BF regarding the price fluctuations as we were able to show our original quotes against what we eventually paid.
BF couldn’t have been more helpful and honoured the original price for those crossings that we could show a lower quote.

I can understand your frustration but don’t give up your Club Voyage membership without checking discounts etc.  We saved a substantial amount - particularly on crossings during the low season.
