Advice please, my son is educated in Javea for 'A' levels until June 2024. If we bring his motorbike over to use over the 10 months will it be liable for customs charges?

Is he a Spanish resident? Which driving licence does he hold (Spanish/UK)?
If matriculated you will probably need to pay customs & tax.

It all depends on circumstances. If he is here 10 months does that mean he is resident? If not should it not be 90 days? If its here over a certain period then it should be changed to Spanish plates then import duties and taxes would be due. If UK plates then it would have to go back for mot every year. If he is resident then he cannot legally ride/drive a UK plated vehicle thatvis owned by him. Really need more details on residency, licence status, possibly visa status. If brought over as part of change of residency then may be classed as personal goods and possibly no or reduced import tax.
