ENT & lung consultants in Marina Alta

Hello

I'll be moving out to Spain permanently later this year, we will rent somewhere in Marina Alta (Costa Blanca North). In UK I see a hospital consultant for a lung condition (lung inflamation) and another for Ear Nose & Throat (sinuses). I will take out private health care for my first year and hope to join the spanish system when allowed to do so. But as these are pre-conditions not sure if I'll get med cover. So 2 questions....which medical insurers are good a covering existing conditions, and does anyone in the area know if there are good consultants in nearby hospitals/facilities to ensure I have the right support in marina alta. I am presuming my doctor there will refer me of course.

I am an early retiree so living off savings and researched the residency/money required etc. Just keen to be sure I'll have the right help in the area.

The two steriod meds I need to take are Fostair inhaler and Flixonase Nasuals.

Jill,

No Spanish healthcare insurer covers pre-existing conditions. They cover everything "new" and assuming you have a no co-pay policy that will be acceptable for redidency.
