I need information on the rules laws etc regarding exporting to grid from solar.
Have had difficulty with Iberdrola as they say they will not come onto my property to check the meter and want me to place a meter out on the public road at our expense.

I had a solar installation completed about 18 months ago by a local contractor. I thought I would need a new meter to allow for the exporting of electricity however, after speaking to Iberdrola this was not the case The meter is on the wall outside where it has always been I have recently change suppliers to Naturgy , and again there is no need for me to change the meter

Is built into front wall but is accessible from the pavement but they

I think remote reading is the key point.
We had solar panels installed last year, and the Iberdrola contract was changed (to include export of power) within a few days of our installer notifying them and providing appropriate certification.
Our house has a Smart Meter built into our neighbour's front wall (fitted at least 6 years ago, before we bought the house), which is remotely read/updated.
