Just our experience Sabadell is better than Caixa but can't comment on the others you need to check on how much you can transfer in one go with Caxia for instance anything over 25k and they nail you for charges (hundreds!)

Hope this helps.

Check with various banks,if you are pensioner, some do free banking for pensioners.

Many thanks for your advice. My husband is a pensioner. Wonder if we'd both need to be to qualify. Will look into it

The Sabadell banking app in English is excellent and can confirm fees of €30 a quarter unless you pay in a regular monthly amount in which case it reduces.

We moved from Sabadell to La Caixa and find them much better. The website is good, and because my pension goes into the account (my wife's doesn't), we don't pay any charges.

As said before just be aware for purchases if you transfer amounts of 25k or more you will get nailed for large charges with Caixa Bank
