I'm looking for driving work.  I am based in la marina Spain for the winter months and South West England for the summer. I have a class 1 hgv licence, no points and digi card, age 60.  Very happy driving anything lorries or vans. Ideally looking for part time.  If you have any interest or advice please contact me.  Steve

I think the situation here is slightly different to Uk. In order for employers to legally consider using your services, you would need to have the correct papaerwork in order, which, unfortunately, does mean registering with the relevant tax office. If you want to operate as a ‘self-employed’ driver, you must register as ‘autonomo’, which will bring you into the Spanish social security system together with the tax requirements. It would be easier for you to employ a ‘gestor’ to deal with alll the paperwork for you; looselytranslated it a s ‘man of business’, they deal on your behalf with all govt and official requirements. Hauliers will also be unlikely to employyou if you are not registered as this is likely to impact their insurance requirements.Penalties for operating unregistered will be swingeing.

Yes as I said earlier there is little point doing anything without some level of interest or not.  I suspect there will be no requirement here but an interesting excersize.

There are plenty of Cowboys operating as"Tradesmen" here but in your line of work it is essential to be fully legal.
