Yesterday, I noticed a very dense layer of reddish brown dust covering the car, the ground and practically everywhere. Driving along the roads, I also noticed it covering many parked cars. Does anyone know where this came from, how often it happens and if it affects your health? Much appreciated.

Hello

The red dust blows in from the Sahara 2/3 times a year but normally with an overnight  rainstorm. It was a surprise to me to see the dust/sand after a very dry night yesterday. Patio  which is undercover) terrace and garden were covered in the stuff  & its hard to get rid of too .Two  attempts with the  hose improved things but all pots etc still  have a layer underneath..... we need some nice clean rain now to wash it away.

Cheers

Reddish brown dust? I think this is what the original post was about. Pine trees another topic.
