Hi there, you're correct in saying that there are a number of parques on the urb (all named after rivers) . They are the cheaper, smaller end of the housing market. There are some incredibly cheap properties within the parques (one bedroom josefina style from around 30k euros).  I'm not saying don't buy on a parque - I'm just saying do your homework first, as these parques are privately owned by the residents so they are nit maintained by the council. Hence some are very unkempt as resurfacing and weeding etc falls to the residents. Some are better kept than others, if there is a proactive sense of neighbourhood.  I would also warn against the cheaper "back to back" properties as these suffer from poor sound insulation (potentially neighbours on two sides and at the back so can be very noisy) as well as compromising privacy. However, the biggest issue, in my opinion, is the lack of ventilation as there is no back door or window to open to give a through breeze in the heat of the summer they are absolute sweat boxes unless you keep your air con on constantly.  La Marina is a great place overall, starting to show its age in places but generally a great community with good facilities. Excellent value for money. Feel free to PM me, if you like as I bought there a couple of years ago. Good luck! Colin.
