Been trying to get appointment with doctor surgery but they say they cannot hear our phones? We have tried a week or so earlier with the same problem. Our councillor here says this is a Valencian healthcare problem and could not be dealt with locally. They suggested downloading an app they have which I did but when it came to scan in the bar code on my SIP card it just sat there and didn't move. I will go to the surgery to get an appointment but at a time we are supposed to avoid unnecessary contact this is not the best solution. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello

I think it's very necessary contact , you're making an appt. to go back  there anyway so no problems with contact.

I always go to my salud to make appts, they are usually busy & while standing waiting to be attended too, you can hear the phones constantly ringing with no one to answer, at least you can see they're busy while you wait.

When you go in, speak to the receptionists or Doctor about the phone problem & how to resolve it - Most people on here are part of the Valencian community healthcare system  & havent seen this problem mentioned on the forum - It would be helpful  if someone did post a solution.

Cheers

Hi

I saw my nurse in Cabo Roig recently and he was unable to give me another appointment for February because the system is changing at the moment. He said that he expected the system to be working again sometime this week and I would be able to book using the GVASalut app - but as of this morning it still doesn't work.

I don't know if this problem is related to yours, but my guess would be "yes it is"!

Btw, I had difficulty scanning the barcode as well, but got there in the end!

Cheers

‘Cannot hear your phones’ sounds more than a little disingenuous to me. As far as I understand telecoms, the signal from your phone is not what they would hear, it would activate the ringer on the recipients’ device, ie theirs So either your phone is not connecting to the system correctly, or they simply don’t have time to answer, which I think is more likely.

And given that many places now want one to make contact by text, WhatsApp or online and are phasing out voice usage, I would go down there!
