Like to say thanks for adding me, thinking of looking for a small place around the coastal areas, so would like people's opinion on where might be a good area to stay.

Thanks in advance.🤗

Before you actually move, have a look at the changes that have happened in respect of UK residents moving to an EU country since the U.K. left the EU.   Have a look at the Guides on this site as well as the Citizens Advice Bureau Spain website.

You are talking about staying and presumably that’s like us, go out and stay for a good long break and just relax and get away from it all! La Mata is perfect. Flat, long walks along a beautiful Sandy beach, boardwalk with coffee shops and places to enjoy some lunch or late breakfast. Small town with everything you’ll need including a good health centre and also 2 buses every 20 minutes into Torrevieja.if you wanted to, you could walk along the coast all the way into Torrevieja and take a bus back if exhausted!

There are many idyllic areas you could consider , Santa Pola is also beautiful and a larger, coastal town, la Marina playa( la Marina urbanisation is not within walking distance to the sea). La Marina playa is on the beach but quiet in winter months. Guardamar is  also worth considering. Long Sandy beach, nice little town and although nut busy in the winter is still alive. If you want to continue beyond Torrevieja and travel further south, you could try Punta Prima, Playa Flamenca, Cabo Roig, La Zenia beach   The busy N332 road cuts the coast off and most of the properties are on the other side of the road so not as handy fir accessing the coastal walks but most people hire or own a car or you could walk if you wanted to. All along the Costa Blanca coast you will find numerous resorts as you head towards Mar Menor   Good luck.
