I’ve moved to a new house and many plugs don’t work or are lose, also many light switches don’t work. There are horrible smells of the drains coming up and I believe there is a cheap remedy for that you can install. If anyone can help me out in this respect it would be great.

Hi Nicky111

If your property has been empty for a while your water traps in sinks and bidet will probably have dried out. Run water from everywhere you have a tap to refresh the traps. The toilet will have water in so trap OK there and probably we'll used by yourself by now. It may take a few days to clear smell completely. Have you checked if any of your switches in your electricity fuse box are down before calling an electrician? If all up and supposedly OK but still have problems then call an electrician. Can't advise anyone as you are not in my area.

Regards
