Hi

I would like to contact a bank located in the La Mata area. Today I have Sabadell and am not happy, which makes me want to change bank. Swedish-speaking or English is also good.

Suggestions?

Best regards

Anders

Hi Anders,

Are you resident, or non-resident?

Kind regards,

Kim

As far as I know, Sabadell is the only bank in La Mata.

Non-resident

Hi Anders,

Have you considered using an online bank instead?  Since Brexit, many UK non-residents are switching away from physical banks in Spain because of the high fees charged.  So long as the online bank has an EU IBAN, you can set up direct debits for any regular payments, such as utility bills.

Kind regards,

Kim

What about Deutche Bank. Think they have recently opened a branch in La Mata. I have no information about accounts however.

You can use SEB or Handelsbanken back in Sweden. Both have direct debit on a EUR account. Easiest and cheapest.

Hi Anders,

I'd suggest looking at Revolut, N26, Monzo and Wise - the latter is a currency exchange company with additional banking facilities, but they are not regulated as a bank.  Many British people use Wise, but you'd need to satisfy yourself that it has the necessary financial protection for how you plan to use it.

Kind regards,

Kim
