Homing pigeons !!!

Hi there are two homing pigeons here in our property on grey and one white both look like they have been sprayed with colours maybe for the fiesta - however the white one I think is injured I’m hoping they will just fly home but just in case some one is missing a couple of homing pigeons they are here

They're not homing pigeons, but they do take part in competitions. They're painted so they they can be identified from a distance. The pigeon fanciers get together with their painted male pigeons, a female is released, the males are then released, and the winner is the first to have his way with the female.

I don't know. If they were losers, then perhaps they ran away to avoid ending up in the cooking pot.

Incidentally, one of our local pigeon fanciers lost a male bird, which took a fancy to our roof. The owner came along with a female, on a string lead attached to the female's leg, and used that to tempt the male bird back.

Christ, I never thought of that! I've seen many women with ankle bracelets but didn't realise that it was to attach a string to. You learn something new on this forum every day.
