Hi All
Does anybody know how I can download, activate and use the Cl@ve to download and print out my Padron Certificado de Empadronamiento document?   Can I open a Cl@ve account myself from my home private computer?
All step by step instructions and your experience are warmly welcome.

Cheers | Thank you.  | Muchas gracias.

Are you sure your town hall has a downloading facility, not all do?

Most Padrons have to be stamped to confirm authenticity and are only valid for 3 months, so downloading itself probably isn't going to serve its purpose for you.

Hi

The last padron provided by my council did not have a manual stamp - it had a QR code instead.

Yesterday I downloaded my padron from the council website, but I'm not currently sure if it's a new up-to-date padron or if it's just a copy of the old one. I'll investigate later.

Kim - I'm not sure if you already have cl@ve/electronic and are asking how to use it, or are you asking how to get one?

Cheers

Steve

Hi Steve

Thanks for your reply.
No, I do not have an account.  How do I get one?  How do I use it?  I'm asking how

All step by step instructions and links are warmly welcome.

Hi Kim

I went to my local council office and asked for an electronic certificate/ID. They gave me an appointment to come back with relevant documentation (ie proof of ID).

The appointment took no longer than 15 minutes, and they gave me a slip of paper explaining how to install it on a PC/laptop. It was easy.

The certificate was installed in my browser (Chrome). Ever since, when I need to log in to an official site, it detects the certificate and then let's me in.

This appears to be your council website https://aytolaromana.es/2023/05/09/la-administracion-cerca-de-ti/ you may be able to request an appointment.

Cheers

Steve

I used a downloaded one for my visa renewal with no problems.

Had first to go to the ayuntamiento to get an electronic certificate, as described by others here.  One you have that you can do a lot of things online, like dealing with Suma, tax office, etc.  Much better than the 1001 government different gateway ID's that I collected in the UK.

When you save it I'd recommend adding a password as any loss of the digital certificate without a password would be an identity theft nightmare.

Yes, that's what I did.
