Hi  👋  Kim

Why  would you  want an insulated  jacket for a  Water  heater.  All  modern  Water  Heater  are made  with  insulation   internally.  Just  Google  the name and read  the  Specification .It EU  Regulation  to  have  Boiler  manufacturers  with  insulation. Most  Boilers  switch  on  when Temperature  drop there is  a gauge that  kick in and switch on  with Temperature  drop  near Freezing 🥶

Hope  that helps 🙏

Hi Sligogent

My one does NOT have an insulated jacket.  It hangs outside and rapidly loses heat.

A  Guess it  an  old  model.  I  would  think  seriously  about  replacing it.  Mine  costs  265  fitted  3  weeks  ago.  80  liters  tank.  I  replaced  old  Gas water  heater.  Try  buying  a Copper  tank  without  instillation  in UK.  Impossible.

Hello. Personally I have an up to date 300 litre hot water tank.  Constant hot water, shower, kitchen etc  without running out and waiting for the tank to reheat. I presume you have a gap between the wall and the tank. I am not going to get involved regarding fire issues etc. If you are that "stuck" find an old coat with the hood,  check its flame retarded to a certain degree and fit the old coat around your water tank pulling the hood over the top.  Its easy enough to put holes in the coat (the buttons may even fasten up) and thread long decent string or old bootlaces through and pull together. Job done. Sincerely, R.

Hi Rumpelstiltski,  Thank you for your input.  However, I do NOT have any thick coats.  Yes, I have a gap between my wall and the tank.  It hangs outside.  Can you recommend a UK company that will deliver to Spain?

I asked the question about the gap so that one could be able to  pull an old coat between the wall and your boiler. The only thing that springs to mind is Ebay, My tank is insulated. Its getting on time wise now for an old man. I get up at 5 am every morning, will have a look for you and report back. Sincerely. R.

I don't know of any products but couldn't you just get someone to box with some plywood and additional insulation? You could turn it into an attractive feature for your balcony. I assume it's positioned there as you say it's external.

EDT...I've assumed that the heater is electric. If gas, on no account cover it up.

Hello, A quick reply. Lots on ebay for you to look at. One item 230689471824 Hot water jacket £24, £11 postage,(Spain)  bit of import duty. You will find cheaper options. Also, you could find a thick coat with a hood in a charity shop, as mentioned wrap it and tie around your boiler. You could even make your own water jacket. Have you looked in Bigmat? Anyway only a suggestion. My Regards. R.

Could you not get an insulated cover from Ebay or Amazon delivered from the UK rather than a new tank? I assume it would need to be waterproof if its for external use
