I can't find a doctor in the area who will accept Sanitas insurance - can anyone recommend a better private health insurance company that is good and is widely accepted? I'm cancelling my cover with Sanitas because their customer service is terrible.

Hello

You dont have to find a Dr yourself, you ask the insurance company for a list of medical clinics, hospitals & Drs where their insurance is accepted in your area -  most insurers provide this automatically.  Make sure  any new insurer provides you with this information.

Sorry I can't help with  new insurers as I am registered,  on the Spanish health system. but hopefully, someone will make suggestions for you.

Cheers

Hi Annalog99 and welcome to the forum,

I'm with ASSSA and have been very happy with their service over the last 7 years.  They provided me with a directory of heathcare providers with whom they're contracted, so I picked out a GP in my area who has good reviews, although he is about a 15 minute drive away.  If it's important to you to have a GP in your town, you may need to go to your nearest private healthcare centre(s) and ask them which insurance company(s) they work with.

Kind regards,

Kim

Thanks, Kimmy11, I took your advice and contacted ASSSA, and they sound far, far better than Sanitas. So I've taken out insurance with them! Thanks for the suggestion.
