Where can I buy fuses for my solar panels?

Hi All

Does anybody know where i can buy 20AMP fuses (1000volts) for my solar panels?
Please provide contact details.  

When my batteries are 32% and when I have the oven on and the air conditioner on they blow. 
Does anybody else have this problem?  If yes, how did you solve it?

It sounds like you are drawing too much current at one time, if you are using the Oven and Air conditioner together.

It is unusual for fuses to blow. Someone should look at this and possibly replace these fuses with automatic breaker or find another solution.

Common fuses are available in DIY stores or from electricians. Special versions must rather be ordered (Amazon?). Do you have a photo of the fuse?

Yes, we are probably drawing too much current from the fuses but the solar panels are rated 5400Watt peak (out of 10 panels) and they deliver in voltage about 320V.    5400 divided by 300V is about 18AMPs.  So the 15AMP fuses are blowing up which is very normal.  Batteries at 32% and an oven and an air co on draw too much current.  The converter is actually an 8000W.  It is a Deye, so it should be able to cope with it.  It is only the fuses.  Installed by a professional electronic engineer (my husband).

You are mixing up different things here. The voltage from the PV modules is DC and goes into the inverter. If the fuses blow here, this must be checked. This should be independent of your consumption in the house (AC). Possibly it is another problem (loose contact or temperature problem).

And if the fuses are 15A, they may be too small. However, the wiring and the inverter must be designed for a stronger fuse. Therefore, this should be checked. Therefore, this should be checked.

Wiring is 6mm.  This can carry more than 15A.  The DC gets converted into AC through a transformer and some transistors to make AC primary in the winding.  In the secondary winding is the AC current for the house, and for charging the batteries it gets taken straight from the solar panels over a step down voltage regulator.  In their turn the batteries can give DC current to the first stage.

You don't have to explain the function to me. I am an electronics engineer. And I have very good knowledge about PV systems.

If a system is properly designed and built, there is always a reason for a fuse to blow. This has to be determined. Replacing the fuse with a stronger one is usually not necessary unless something was done wrong during the system design...

An example: The fuse is sufficient but a contact on the fuse could be a little loose or corroded. This will cause the fuse to heat up and blow prematurely. If the fuse is replaced by a stronger one in this case, it may no longer blow and the contact heats up much more, which can lead to a fire.

Therefore, my advice: before replacing the fuse, the cause of the blowing should be determined.

You can also send me more information and photos and I will take a look. Especially the technical data of the PV modules and the inverter would be very helpful.

Hi tnt369
It is a Deye inverter.  Capable of 8KW.   The fuse box came with 15AMP fuses.  The fuse holders are rated at 32AMP and are brand new.  It is only us draining 18AMP when the battery is low.  The battery then drains off lots of power which blows the fuse.  That is all.  The local shops only had only a few 15AMP fuses.  I am looking to find where I can find the 25Amp fuse automtic resetable.

This does not sound like a well-planned system...  Are you sure you can manage it well?

For example, the automatic fuses for DC are different from those for AC (spark suppression!). 

In order to have a reliable PV system, there are a few things that need to be taken into attention.
