I’m in the same boat and will be doing this now. I’m with Sabadell and their charges are ridiculous. Recently retired I started to go through all my outgoings. They were charging me €74 for a debit and credit card. There was also a quarterly charge of €34 to maintain the account and a charge for every transaction/ standing order and Direct Debit. I hadn’t been in Spain since last July and, being based in N.I. had no need to access or use the account. Last week I went to their branch in LaZenia and changed the account type to one with a set charge of €40 per quarter with no other fees for cards or transactions. However, on reading the comments I will look into Revolut.
