I recommend FWREurocars at El Altet, near the airport. English owners, very helpful, did all the paperwork and a good selection of cars.
My car came from there and the price was pretty reasonable for Spain.

Thanks. I've looked on their website a few times, but their stock is quite low at the moment. Whats really annoying is that the bigger used car dealers, as well as new car dealers, quote a 'finance' price. So you think the price is good, but as im a cash buyer, it then jumps by between 1,500 and 3000 euro, for the cars im looking at!

I have never come across that before. Having said that I don't buy a car very often.
I have always used the fact that I am a cash buyer to drive the price DOWN on the basis that it saves the dealer a bit of paperwork!! When that hasn't worked I vote with my feet, they often call you back.
They would always want a sale rather than a no sale.

Yep, you and I are obviously 'old school' when cash was king. These days, they want the commission from the finance, it seems.

What you need to do is to take the finance if there are no penalties for early repayment, then clear it all the following month. That way the dealer gets his commission form the finance company and you get a cheaper car.

I have a mate with a Fiat Camper, he went to a main dealer who is also there for a famous US make. No names here!
Paid nearly 500E for a repair. (when I saw the Fattura I saw he had been charged 29E for washing the windscreen!) The fault recurred after a month or so, He went to another main dealer in another town 500+ this time, and again! He sold it in desperation.

Mrmike, you need to tell us who they are so we know who to avoid.
It's no wonder the Dealers are usually called Stealers. Name and shame, that's the name of the game.
