Hello All

We moved here in April and about time of year in the UK they are giving flu to people over a certain age.

Is there a flu jab program here in Spain if so how dose it work.

My wife is 52 and I am 72 bouth with SIP cards via NHS S1 form.

Flu jabs were given at the same time as covid boosters last year so around December time.

I think the minimum age for flu jabs is 60.

I’m sure the recent announcement was that the flu jab will be given at the same time as the new covid booster, starting with the over 80’s in November.

I am guessing that they will send out text messages of when and where to attend as they did for the previous covid jabs, but we’ll find out more once they announce how many vaccines are available.

I did not know even if it was done here I will keep my ears and eyes open. In the UK the flu jabs start in September they will soon be advising on the radio.

Be sure to get yourself a Spanish phone number, and let the health centre know what it is. During COVID, appts for vaccination were notified by text message - but only to Spanish numbers. I don't know if this will apply to flu jabs though.
