Morning All

Been scouting around buying something up to 170K in an area which is not to busy but has bars restaurants etc but not to bothered about being close to the sea, retirement is on its way now. Please advise me of what areas i should be initially looking at bearing in mind the wife does not drive and if anyone can recommend a good estate agent i would be very appreciable because we are novices and do not want to be bothered all of the agents in the Costa Blanca.

We would like three bedrooms with a pool, preferably private but not a deal breaker but security for us is a big issue.

Regards

Hi

Suggest you look at the  urbanisations on the CV-95 and CV-905, leading out of Torrevieja. The urbs have bus services to/from Torrevieja (which is a large town). If you are selective, you can be an easy walk to daily services. Easy to find on Google Maps. Afraid I can't suggest an agent.

As an alternative, look at Pinar de Campoverde. More of a village feel, and easy on the eye, but most daily services are available (and walkable if you are selective), and not too big. Daily bus services to the town of Polar de la Horadada, which has everything.  http://inmocaballero.com/en/

Both options benefit from having a car.

Hi

I can recommend Villamartin, La Zenia are very good areas.

But you most likely would need an agent to show some areas and get a feel for yourself.

I can recommend Darren at Iberian Property Group on 0034 966765619

Happy hunting.

Advice on a forum has little value. My advice would be book some flights get a hire car. Then book a hotel for 3 or 4 days centrally like Torrevieja and scope the areas yourself.

Then when you have found an area do the property hunting yourself via right move back in the UK. See what's available in your price bracket. Then organise a shorter break to view properties you have identified on line with the agent advertising them

Asking for opinions will make things more complicated as people have different views and expectations. Its a waste of time

There are many agents with the same properties to sell, a viewing trip is essential, La  Zenia is a great area if you can get beach side of the N332, close to great beaches and the bars and restaurants in La  Zenia and Cabo Roig as well as convenient for Zenia  Boulevard. It t is still a buyer's market so offer up to 10% below the asking price, the process can be daunting but a good agent will cover all the bases with the legalities, solicitor, taxes, notary etc.We bought nearly two years ago and are now in the process of making it a permanent move, go for it and enjoy.

Hi

La Zenia is a great area very clean with many amenities. I would liken it to Torquay in the sun.

You will have to deal with estate agents, but don't be pressurised in to making a decision...take your time
