Funerals in Spain at this time

Hello everybody,

I’m in the UK and today I had to say goodbye to my lovely Dad in his Nursing home, Anneke Alfaz de pi. The nurse held the phone to my Dads ear so I could tell him I loved him and that it’s ok for him to go. Please could you let me know how funerals are being taking place in Spain during this nightmare? Obviously I’m not able to fly out to my Dad so any information would be greatly appreciated. I will celebrate his life eventually at his favourite place in Calpe where he lived for 27 year, but for now there is nothing I can do apart from pay the bill 😞

I'm really sorry to hear about your dad and it just breaks your heart of this terrible scenario. Absolutely awful situation. You have to tell yourself that that's the only thing that you could do to say goodbye to your loved one.

So many people in this position.

Let's just hope there is something after here?

Thoughts with you and family.

Celebrate well when you can.

Our thoughts go out to you and you’re family for your loss of your dad here in Spain, my wife lost her dad recently and the funeral is tomorrow in the UK, we are also unable to attend as we are here in Spain, but other family members will be there, God Bless.

I’ve just received the phone call telling me my father has now passed away. Two minutes later the funeral director called, I could hardly get my breath. No flowers or service at all. Horrendous
