Hello all.
My names rick.

I’m looking to buy a place out in Spain and los balcones is looking like the place. I have a family with a 16 year old son and a 10 year only daughter. Is los balcones a good places for us to make friends with a family at a similar age? As we will be spending a good few months of the year over there. Mostly school holidays. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks👍👍👍

Hi Rick, I'm sure you are aware there are restrictions in the number of days UK citizens (assuming your a UK national) can stay in Spain following the UK"s withdrawal from the EU and it makes no difference if you own a property in Spain.

The majority of UK citizens will not need a visa to travel to Spain. The country still permits visa-free access to British visitors for up to 3 months for tourism and business purposes.

However, British nationals will soon need a visa waiver to enter Spain. The new ETIAS travel authorization launches in May 2023 and will be mandatory for all third country nationals such as Brits, Canadians and Americans.

UK travellers will still be able to visit Spain and the Schengen Area for up to 3 months as before but will need to hold a valid ETIAS visa waiver before arriving. This is to ensure that the borders of Schengen remain secure and that all non EU-citizen passengers arriving in the multi-national zone are screened before arrival.

Hi

The visa coming into place is €7 and last for 3 years ,I think it’s going to be in place for us to visit EU, not only Spain,

Los Balcones is a great are. I’ve had a property there for 18 years at Lago Jardin 2. We have good bus service, great commercial centres. Good bars with live music. Not far to town centre or beaches only 5/10 mins. Friendly people. You will be made welcome. I’m non resident and come and go 90/180 no problems. Easy to get to from the airport by bus so you don’t need expensive taxis.
