My wife and myself are non residents and have expired NIE`s. How do we go about renewing them, is it straight forward and how much will it cost?

You can pay someone like one-way services in quesada 50e and they will sort it out for you. At the moment though, there may be a wait of several weeks before you/they can get an appointment on your behalf. It's been said that you can buy a car with an expired form but it's best just to get a new 'date of expiry free' certificate then you don't have to worry about it again.
