Hi guys

Just a bit of advice, if you are thinking of using sabadell bank at los alcazar, give it a wide birth, the English speaking lady, and won't mention her name, need to understand we are their customer's, so being rude, giving us wrong Information, taking serveral private calls about her shopping while we had arranged an appointment, being late isn't what we expect, we are now in the process of changing to santander, where a Spanish lady, couldn't have been more helpful, we will be emailing sabadell about our experience

Hello, StanLady.

Based on my experience of Santander, you may find yourself going out of the frying pan and into the fire.

I am very unhappy with them and their total lack of service.

Best wishes,

Tom

Hi Tom

To honest afte talking to various people, most the banks in spain seem a little half soaked, but have to say the woman in sabadell was shocking, she was just so rude, even tried to talk down to us,three times now she's been like this, but all we can do is warn people.

Regards

Lee

All banks are tramps.

I once took a bank manager over a desk by his tie, gave him a shaking and sent him back over the same desk.

It seemed to change his manners and our relationship seemed better afterwards.

Take no guff from them, remember it’s you keeping them in a clean shirt.

Hi Lee,

just to give a bit of balance - last week I went into the Sabadell branch at La Zenia (opposite McDonalds) to give notice that I was not renewing my house insurance with them. The person I spoke to could not have been more helpful (Spanish male). Later in the day I had a call from the insurance office in Madrid who tried to get me to change my mind, when I declined to change my mind they were again perfectly polite and confirmed it would cease on the date requested.

Rgds,

Aitch.

I agree Aitch. I have been with Sabadell here in Benidorm for 9 years and not had any problems. I always take a translator with me when required although I usually find I can do all my banking requirements on their excellent bank app.

Hi Aitch

Yes,I get that you are going to get good a bad experience with the banks, but her attitude and manner was completely unacceptable, as I deal with the public in the UK, I wouldn't last 5 minutes if I had her attitude, 3 times we visited sabadell, she really is a bad advertisement for the bank, but thank you for your feedback.

Best wishes

Welcome to the world of Spanish banking. They are ALL the same once you have opened an account and put your money in. Lots on here will tell you that they have no problem with X bank or Y bank has been fantastic or Z bank is the best ever. But they have NO customer service, and quite frankly couldn’t give a **** about their customers, the ones that pay their wages.

Yes, not very good service at all from that lady, gives the Bank a bad name. A lot of comments about all banks being the same but like Steve I've never had a problem with the staff at Sabadell, just the bank charges!

Rgds,

Aitch.
