SPANISH EMBASSY what are you on, I just told you ,for 80 Euro, your solicitors get your NIE for 3 people from the police station in a matter of days, and you don’t have to do anything.

Simple

Sorry mate, but I don’t know where you get your info from, but believe me, you definitely went about it the wrong way,try listening to someone who’s done it right next time.

Was arranging this from UK whilst still living there, as unable to be in Spain when required for property legalities etc; attorney acting on our behalf here. Normally if still in UK most people go to Spanish Embassy. This was incredibly inconvenient so instructed online outfit which we could do without leaving my office; I repeat, it was efficient, and easy. And no, it’s many years since I was a student, so currently, sadly, not ‘on’ anything!

Yes we where in uk, paid 150 Euro and waited 5 weeks then got reply asking for us to go to notarian, when we phoned one they wanted £180 when I asked why they said that’s what the charge was, and after that you had to send all the paperwork to Granada for the NIE.

That’s why it’s a rip

We simply dealt with the company, they dealt with wherever the relevant office was , we didn’t care. I don’t see how paying a perfectly legitimate firm to undertake a service is a rip off. This has to be balanced against ones’ own time and the convenience of someone else doing it all

Hi

We are eventually wanting to move to Moriara and want to apply for our NIE number. We have got the Spanish website for the forms but of course it is in Spanish. Have found a website to translate but do we fill the forms in Spanish also where do we take them. Any more info would be gratefull...

...y received.

I would also suggest you use a local legal representative as our NIE application process as part of our property purchase in 2014 was effortless. Service Centre Moraira filled in all the forms in Spanish and English then all we had to do was pop into Benidorm and get everything stamped at the policy station. Sorted!
