Although very few forum members met her, I regret to say that, after fighting cancer for three years, my wife Margaret passed away on Tuesday.

Although she had donated her body to science, in the hope of helping the next generation of doctors and surgeons, the ministry of health had issued a directive that, due to the virus, bodies were not to be accepted. The result was that she was cremated on Thursday....

...

Her daughter came out from Scotland before her death, and we were both at the hospital when Margaret passed away. I suppose it's fortunate in some ways that Margaret didn't suffer too long, and that two days before her death she was still talking about when she would be able to come home.

Her daughter has been a massive help to me, and without her support I'm sure I would have cracked up completely.

I will get soon get back into the forum, and hope that those who have expected replies from me will understand why I haven't participated.

So sorry to hear this sad news Jim, my deepest thoughts & sympathies are with you during this difficult time

Your love for Margaret shone through in many of your posts on this forum, clearly a wonderful lady, RIP Margaret and God bless you Jim
