Assistance with Amazon Firestick

We purchased a Firestick for watching UK tv. Plugged it into our smart TV, added the vpn and chose London location. Downloaded the appropriate apps for BBC, ITV etc and thought we were good to go.

We can open the apps and view the content but we can't start any of the programmes as it says we are not in the UK. Can anyone advise if they have had similar issues and how they got over it, or is there anyone out there with a more advanced knowledge and maybe point me in the right direction.

Hi

You could check that the time on the firestick is set to UK time and that the time zone is GMT. If it’s in CET (Europe] then it won’t allow Iplayer etc to play the content.

Settings, Preferences,Time Zone, Time Zone. (It does repeat the same heading)

Try a different VPN.

Nord seem to be one of the favourite ones.

Just tried this and changed to GMT but unfortunately still no joy. Thanks anyway.
