noisy hunters
What are the rules re noise pollution.
We live in an area where hunters arrive on Sunday morning and disturb the peace.
They do not own the property and the area is designated PROTECTED.
What can I do?

In practice unfortunately probably not much.
Hunting is akin to a religion in Spain and has been going on since long before guns were invented, I wouldn't put much faith in quoting laws on noise pollution helping.
Rules on guns say that they must not be used within 500m of a house or in any urban area, if they are abusing that then I suppose you might have a case for denouncing them to the police, always remembering though that among the hunters could well be members of their families.
Do you have Spanish neighbours and are they objecting?

Is 500m from the actual house or the property boundary?
You can absolutely forget noise pollution. This is Spain after all. The distance from an individual dwelling is 50 metes and a registered road 100 metres. The only good news is that they often use .410 rather than 12 bores so it is quieter! Hopefully, all your land is fenced? Otherwise, they are very liable to walk over it. It depends on Licensing and designated shooting areas. Some shooters are responsible, others............. My personal advice would be to learn to live with it. It's 99.9% certain that you will be unable to prevent/change it.

I guarantee that any complaints to the Guardia will result in no action at all, unless you have irrefutable evidence that they have been shooting in the direction of your house and from an unsafe distance. Of more concern than a couple of hours noise should be their dogs, which may or may not be under control. These are not nice friendly dogs, they are hunting animals, frequently underfed and will kill anything like a pet cat they may find.
We live in a very small group of houses on a mountainside in the centre of hunting country, on big hunt days, ie when they go en masse to drive boar, we lock ourselves and our animals inside until it is certain they have all gone home. Our Ajuntamiento sends us warnings a few days in advance of this. We have had uncontrolled packs of podencos loose in our lane, and when unfortunately gates have not been closed properly, on our land also. One does not attempt to remonstrate.

Have had an experience with the dogs, although they were not agressive not like their handler.
ON our property.
But they have not come back
We have the experience of men on our property with rifles
Give me the wild animals any day!

Is the issue noise pollution from the dogs barking/gun shots? As a rule any of us who hunt do not discharge a firearm used for game like deer/boar unless prey is in sight, in range and a clean kill can be made.
If guns are being discharged recklessly then there is an issue…. and the cost implications of wasting very expensive ammunition is a consideration on larger calibre guns.
Putting a suppressor/silencer on a centrefire rifle with a velocity over 3000 feet per second won’t have much effect, even on lighter rim-fire magnum rounds it has little effect.
