I've just looked on their website and they now offer 90 channels.

Even at our 36 channels I wouldn't say that it's "very limited". Depends what you want, I don't watch any sports channels unless it's involves snooker or motor bikes! Living here in Benidorm draws us away from the TV anyway ;-)

Steve

Yes it does depend on what we want, and we want more than TVmucho can offer.

Ah but this thread is not about you! Honeybee asked for advice on cheap ways of acquiring UK TV. See the OP's Post at start of thread

Hi there, try aafreeenglishtv. We paid €180 the first year which included the box and then €120 annual subscription. For that we get all the sports channels and can even watch 3pm Saturday kick offs and games not shown on Sky or BT Sport, either on NBC or Bein sports. We don't have a steady internet signal being right out in the middle of nowhere and we do have some problems with all channels but where you are you shouldn't have a problem however you may find that the whole system goes down now and again but that would be the same for any IPTV system.

Thought that it would be the case that the channel selection would be very limited. Hubby would definitely miss the sports channels too much.

You are definitely going to need iptv it’s not that difficult to use internet is getting better as more suppliers come into the market, but iptv is illegal and one day it might get shut dow

IPTV is legal....

IPTV is legal worldwide as long as the services provider purchases appropriate licenses to stream that content. Illegal IPTV providers are only those that do not have licenses for their content and are thus infringing on copyright laws.

If you have a Satellite system it is at the mercy of the weather, slightest hint of bad weather and the signal will be disrupted, and of course you will need a satellite dish minimum size 1.4m. If you go the IPTV route you will need stable internet for it to work well.

We have both, from a personal perspective I find the IPTV a bit of a faff to use until you get the hang of it. We have a Sky box which picks up the free view channels and this works in exactly the same way as it would in the UK, but of course we can't record....

...

We have the IPTV system mainly because my husband likes to watch the Sky & BT sports channels. With the IPTV system there are a lot of box sets and all the other Sky channels such as Atlantic, Showcase, Witness etc, plus there is normally 7 day catch-up facility if you miss a programme.

My advice would be to ask to see the systems working and then you can decide which one is for you as these systems are not cheap, and if you need a Satellite dish that cost needs to be factored in. Ultimately it's down to personal choice, one final point we are getting more bad weather here in Spain which as I said will take out the Satellite system, only the other day we had to swap from the satellite system to the IPTV due to bad weather.

You can record but you will need two feeds from the dish to a recordable box

Amazon firestick and express VPN,you need to have a UK address and postcode and prime UK membership,£7/month+/-,(family or friends),in Spain a good internet,( they are all good in Spain).Register the firestick at UK address, download express VPN on the firestick ,in UK,( in the VPN you set the country you are in as UK,same as the Amazon  firestick).

In Spain plug it into the TV HDMI ,set up the stick to your router ,the VPN will disguise the fact you are in Spain and you can access Prime video,All4,ITV Hub,BBC player ,if you want it,I don't,(you have to have an address ,postcode, with a licence),You Tube,Sky News etc etc, satisfaction depends on whether you want live UK news and TV soaps etc,if you want,as we do to watch films and "catch up TV,it is all there.

The express VPN costs £75 for ,at the moment,13 months ( special offer),for radio, any smart phone online,Radio player,(RTE 1,2,and Gold)and any station anywhere in the world with a variety of free radio apps.

It is amazing on You Tube what there is,all the series' from TV going back to the '70s,feature films ,documentaries,to much to watch in one lifetime!

Prime ,films new and old,all in sparkling HD.

Worth it !
