Therefore the question should have been will normal bus routes very disrupted during any parade?

' Will normal bus routes very disrupted ' ...that makes sense...not

In honesty our original poster has asked a valid question. There is a huge parade in Cabo Roig on March 17th  and many streets are sealed off for the entire day. - including the area where the buses normally stop. To quote the organisers  ā€œitā€™s the biggest parade in Europe outside o...

...f the Emerald Isleā€ and the whole area  becomes a sea of green for the entire day. The area is full of tens of thousands of people including those, who fly in especially for the day.
So if the a question is do the buses stop in Cabo Roig on that day I can only guess that either the buses have or alternate route or possibly will stop somewhere different.

The bars and restaurants put a great deal of effort in the preceding months fundraising for this event and having missed the past three years through Covid and bad weather- they are hoping for a massive turnout.

Hi Lynn

You took the words right out of my mouth!

I live nearby, and avoid Cabo Roig like the plague on Paddy's Day!

Shav - just to point out that taxis can also be hard to find.

Cheers

The answer is yes..I think that's all you wanted to hear. The only thing is the parade which is on the strip in the afternoon. So that must hold up the traffic in some way.If your Irish have a great St Paddy's day.If your not Irish also have a great St Paddy's day .ā˜˜ļøā˜˜ļøā˜˜ļø

The parade does a loop right around the strip  including the streets at the back and the sides.
No the roads are  usually closed for most of the day and evening due to the sheer volume of people around. Thereā€™s also entertainment  etc. outside of the parade hours  which starts at  1pm  and the classic cars and bikes are parked up for the day on the road at the rear of the strip.

I believe the shuttle vehicles. from the other bars in the area are dropping off on the La Regia side of the N332

Hi Shav

Iā€™ve asked the same question to the organisers of the parade but they donā€™t seem to know answer either. I will keep an eye for early bus on Friday morning (passes by me!) and let you know as I too will be relying on the bus to get me up and from parade ā˜˜ļø

Thank you very much Deirdre. Hopefully the buses won't be too packed and we can all enjoy the day šŸ˜Šā˜˜ļø
