Hi, I know this has been asked before, or I am fairly certain :) We are flying back home to Spain from Sweden if we are tested positive can we get in easily. We have TIE etc. Thank you in advance

I would sincerely hope that you are not suggesting that you would attempt to board an aeroplane after a positive test!

Does Sweden require a negative test before flying, I would imagine yes.

If they do then getting out of Sweden would be your problem not into Spain.

In that circumstance your residential status in Spain will carry no weight.

I would think that if you have been tested positive whilst in Sweden then you will need to isolate in Sweden for the required time. I don't think that you would gain entry into Spain (or even get flights) if you are covid positive.

i hope you would not even consider infecting everyone on board a flight, you could kill people that may be vulnerable.

Hi Fiona,

To enter Spain, you need to complete the Spanish Health Form, including a declaration that you do not have Covid symptoms:

Kind regards,

Kim

Thank you for the information it was just out of curiosity, I have no intentions of putting anyone at risk, it was just as we are traveling to another country to fly back and would not have to have a test until we are ready to fly, I was interested as to how things worked. Just for the record have traveled through three countries and had not been asked for any tests or proof of vaccine so we were concerned about when we returned.

Hi Fiona,

it's a good question, I don't think many consider what would happen if they were diagnosed with covid on arrival.  In my opinion, the authorities would most likely take a infected person to quarantine accommodation, though I cannot find it detailed anywhere exactly what happens. There is no requirement to take a pre-travel test to get into Spain, so unless you or your party have symptoms then I would not bother.

We arrived in Alicante on Saturday and the usual checks are still in place, i.e. checking Spanish health forms have been completed and a walk past a heat sensor after that. We had our vaccination passports, hard copies and on phone, but they were not examined. The only difference I noticed was that there does not appear to be any restrictions on people entering the airport terminal now, there used to be someone asking for flight details for those trying to get into the terminal, that was not happening on Saturday.

Rgds,

Aitch.
