Hi All

Is there a new rule that non double jabbed adults will need a negative covid test to enter Spain or is that just the Balearics ?

We travel Friday morning and my son is 16 and obviously hasn't been vaccinated yet

I cant find any info so apologise if this is already somewhere on here

Thanks

Bev

Hi,

The requirement is that from June 30th UK visitors to Spain either be fully vaccinated or have had a negative PCR test. If you are not fully vaccinated then best have the test. I do not know what the rules are for children but as you are travelling soon then I would suggest that to be on the safe side your son gets a test as well.

For getting into France fully vaccinated meant that your final jab had to have been at least 14 days before travel, not sure what Spain are asking for but it's likely to be similar.

Aitch.

The new rules have now been updated on Gov.UK, effective 1st July:

Hiya,  but if you are travelling from the UK to Spain by plane,  i.e. Ryanair the airline is still insisting on you showing them a negative PCR test to board the plane?

Please advise if I have got my facts wrong?   We are fully vaccinated but I believe as our flights are with Ryanair they will still need/insist on seeing a negative PCR test result taken 3 days before otherwise they will not let you board the plane.

Thanks Tracey

Hi Tracey

All along Ryanair have said check requirements of country of destination.

We fly home with them tomorrow to Alicante and have not been advised of this being a requirement.

I will give an update if I find this is necessary.

Regards

Sharon

*EDIT* - I have just checked Ryanair current carriage requirements and on their site for Ryanair to fly you to Spain they need you to have completed the Spth.gob.es form, and of course now Pedro Sanchez requires proof of double vaccination or a negative pcr

Hi Tracey,

Several people have said they needed negative tests to fly with Ryanair, even though I checked their Ts&Cs and they did not require one when flying FROM the UK TO Spain (unless you had been in a 'risk' country within 14 days of flying to Spain).  However, it's now been superseded by Spain's new rules, effective 1 July, which state that you must have a negative PCR to enter Spain.  The exception to this is those people who have documentary proof of having been double-vaccinated.

Kind regards,

Kim
