There was a bit of information announced in the last couple of days which not everyone may have seen - those who have had their covid vaccinations can now get a proof of vaccination certificate from the NHS to take with you when you travel. It is available via the NHS app and can be downloaded as a pdf file. It shows your name, NHS number and details of the vaccines you have had (when/where/manufacturer/batch number). There is also a QR code on the document.
If you do not have the NHS app you can get a copy of your vaccination certificate by calling 119 (in the UK). From the options menu select Covid Status. There are few further steps but eventually you will get through to an agent. You will need your NHS number. The only criteria to get the certificate is that it must be 5 days or longer since you had your second vaccine and planned travel must be within 4 weeks. They will send it to you through the post
It is not known if the certificate is going to be accepted overseas but it would be worth taking it with you if/when you do travel.
