Driving licence renewal

You can renew it at any psicotecnico who do the renewals. I don't know Cabo Roig area but there is one a La Siesta (Clinica La Siesta) and quite a few others in Torrevieja and surrounding areas.

For anything to do with driving in Spain I would suggest that you have a look at the N332 website.   It is for English speaking people and is run in conjunction with officers of the Guardia Civil.   On the website there is an English version of the Spanish equivalent of the Highway Code.

I renewed mine there some time ago, no problems. They speak English.

Thought that there was a place in Campoamor rather than Cabo Roig, I had to do mine in Torreveijca during Covid time ( medical) top of Ramon De Gauld

For anyone that needs to renew their Spanish Drivers Licence anytime soon this info might be useful.

The Medical Center at Guardamar del Segura, will do the medical/eye test, complete all the forms and send them off to Traffico for you, then about 6 weeks later you should get your new licence in the post. (I got mine back in 4 weeks)

Their address is Carrer Enginyer Mira, 12, 2ºB, 03140 Guardamar del Segura, Alicante,  (They are on the second floor above Santander Bank)

The total cost is €40 plus the cost of the actual licence renewal which is about €24. (If you are 70 years or older you don´t pay the renewal fee)  You can pay by cash or card on the day.

You´ll need to take your residents card/TIE, Passport, old Drivers Licence, They will take your photo on the day.

The telephone number is 965 728 463 and the staff there are lovely and they speak English.

You don´t need an appointment but its best to call them a day or so before you go so they can "get you in the system".

They only do Licence renewals on TUE 15.30 - 17.30  and THU 18.30 - 20.30
