Thank you all for your resonses to my interior roof upholstery questions.

We have another issue with this wonderful old classic. The central locking works everything except one of the rear doors.

all the wiring has been checked, along with the fuses etc and we have even stripped out the mechanical section from inside the door skin and checked all the linkages. Nothing seems to solve the problem.

Any suggestions would be gratefully accepted...thank you.

Are you getting a signal to the faulty door when the central locking is activated?

Hi thanks for your response...no we werent getting anything. We stripped the whole lot out of the door, pulled all the electrics apart and checked for bad earths, poor cable work etc, then stripped out the mechanism and put the whole lot back together not without some difficulty! Did all that then guess what???? It then worked fine!!! Would you believe it?

Thanks for your response but seems to have righted itself..

Cheers

Buy a spray can of contact cleaner at most ferreteria and the problem is solved.     I use it quite a bit on my classic cars....
