I have been trying to make an appointment to see the doctor at Cabo Roig Health centre for the past 5 weeks.

I have just been to the centre where I saw the receptionist who asked my what the medical problem was that required an appointment to see the doctor. I needed a check up after 18 months of not seeing a doctor and, at 81 years of age, thought it might be a good idea.

I was told the doctor would call me on my mobile telephone next Monday 17th August.

Has anyone else had this problem ?

Any advice as to what I should do next.

Not particularly convenient for those with a non English speaking doctor.

No pithy comments about learning Spanish please.

That is a problem with a non English speaking doctor.  My doctor rang me but as i don't yet speak Spanish it was a waste of time. Was told i needed a translator  but very difficult if you don't know the time they are phoning.  I down loaded the Yo Salud app which at least gives me something i can get translated when my friend is around.  You don't have to be shy though.  Relaying old men's problems  to a 17 year old girl.
