I saw the surgeon in July & he agreed I needed knee replacement surgery. He said if I’d not heard anything by October/ November .I should ask why. ?
But where do I ask .. the main information area or elsewhere?

You said you seen Surgeon in July, Have any Card details for them, or call back to Torrevieja Hospital and make your way to where you were seen, There must be Xray details at Surgeon desk or some records of your last appointment, it maybe difficult for you with sore knee, But saying nothing will not help your causes

Go to main reception near the cafe there’s also a little office to the left but often they don’t speak English in there, so be armed with a letter not translated from google because sometimes it’s totally inappropriate wording 😂been caught with that one

Hi
There is an enquiries desk downstairs at Torrevieja hospital i.e. the lowest floor which I think is called floor "-1". There is a lift to get you up/down.
You will need to take a ticket and wait for your number to appear on the TV screens. It might take just a few seconds, or it might take an hour - there's no predicting it in advance.
The staff do generally speak English, but it helps if you yourself speak clearly and not too fast! It will help if you have some paperwork to show them (and be sure to take your SIP card).
Also, if you believe you are already on a waiting list for surgery you should be able to find it here https://www.san.gva.es/es/web/portal-del-paciente/consulta-personalizada
Cheers

Hi Steve,
As I am waiting for cataract operations, I tried the link. However, it is not accepting my date of birth or card issue date. The only difference that I can see is that the card shown as an example is red and white, mine is green and white, issued in 2016. Any idea what the problem could be?

Hi Sheila
My card is the red version, so I can't comment on the green one.
The page is a bit odd. In the year field it wants the complete year not just the last two digits (contrary to what appears on the SIP card).
And don't forget to enter the random characters in the final box.
In my case it comes up with a message saying I am not on any waiting list and a box saying "inicio" to start again.
Hope this helps!

Thanks Steve. I did put in the complete year in DOB, but just 04/16 for issue. I’ll try 2016 👍
Makes no difference on the card colour. My wife's is red and mine is green but both work.
And you must put the date (especially the year) in the correct format. On my green one it is 4 numbers for the date of birth (as in 1960) but only two numbers for the issue date (as in 12).
You also have to enter the day and month in 2 figure format so if 9 Jan 1960 then it goes in as 09 01 1960. The issue date is 2 figs for both as in 03 15 for March 2015.
As said, you have to put the random letters in the box and then see if the phone number is correct. You will then get an SMS number on your phone to enter.
