Thanks Ade👍🙂
Hi,
I was spent all morning on Friday from 8 am looking for appointments for TIE. Even when I saw your post, but I did not get one.
I am selecting the appointment for EX23 (Exp. Tarjeta asociada al acuerdo...). Am I doing it right? Are you doing anything different?
I thought of trying the option below (Toma de huellas) but that one is for EX17.
Any help would be appreciated as my 30 days will finish soon.
Thanks

Hi JayL,
If you applied for residency before 31 December 2020, as a first-time applicant (EX-20) under the terms of the Brexit Withdrawal Agreement, you need to complete the process with EX-23. EX-17 is for non-EU applicants - although UK citizens became non-EU from 1 January 2021, it's not be appropriate for those who applied using EX-20 prior to that date.
Kind regards,
Kim

Hi Elise,
Do you have a green Residency card (sometimes mistakenly called the NIE)?
Kind regards,
Kim

Definitely need one! Helps you with health care and allows trouble free residence...

Hi Hilary,
If Elise already has a green Residency certificate, there's no urgency to swap it for a TIE.
My concern, when asking her to clarify whether her "NIE" (which is an A4 white document) is actually a green residency certificate, is because many people, especially the Spanish, tend to refer to green residency certificates as NIEs. If she has residency, that's good, but if she only has a white NIE, she's here illegally. Hopefully, after 7 years, that's not the case, but it would be good to know, as she still has time to regularise her status if needed.
Kind regards,
Kim
