Hi everyone. I am currently living in Denia and have to be out my apartment for summer. I found a lovely apartment in Pego. I was just wondering if there is any expats living here and what it is like living in Pego. I was there this morning and it was raining and very quiet. Would love to hear what your experience is of this town.

Hi Julene, I have been living here for 6 months now, and I find the village is very much alive, many festivities are organized that are accessible for everyone, and there is a weekly market, some nice restaurants, enough supermarkets for a town this size, etc. It won't compare to Denia, and will depend on personal preferences, but at least for me this is working out well. I love the mountains on walking distance, and the beach is still not far away.

I would absolutely recommend learning Spanish (and even Valencian), since the town is not so international oriented as Denia surely is. You will not find too many people speaking English here so if you want to make some meaningful connections with people besides other expats, this is key.

Good luck with deciding, kind regards, Perla

Thank you Perla. Thank you for your input. Can I ask how you came to choose Pego? I love denia but in winter it can also be very quiet. I moved from Valencia to Denia. Not sure if it might become too lonely for me.

My reasons for choosing Pego amongst others were that I did not want to live in a tourist environment but rather in a more authentic town. Also hoping that a smaller town would lead to more connections since it is less anonimous. But this also depends on your own openness and initiative, of course. And I am fluent in Spanish, so that helps for sure...

Hello!

We moved to Pego about 3 months ago. We love it here. Is usually a lively little town with lots going on and all the amenities on our doorstep. We bought a house right in the centre. Parking is the only downside but plenty of underground garage space to rent. Feel free to message me for more info!

Hi, I have lived in Pego now for four years and I love it, plenty off things to do at night good restaurants, music on a Thursday night with the English playing guitar,
