ART: Opportunities to exhibit /sell my paintings
Hi I am an artist . I am looking for opportunities to exhibit and sell my paintings and drawings. I am going to visit the Centro de Cultura in Pego and every town near me to ask - as well as going further afield- including visiting Alicante and Valencia with this search in mind. Can anyone help me with information of private galleries and any/ all opportunities to exhibit and sell my work in towns in Valencia or Alicante districts..
I am sure there must be a structure here for this- In Uk there were ways of registering so that you received "calls for artists" to bring work for selection for exhibitions in various towns. The top one would be The Royal Academy Summer Exhibition London, which annually sent out calls for artists - anyone could enter and the painting were judged and selected.
Now I am in Pego Alicante and I am trying to find the lay of the land for artists - who need to sell their work. It's just not encouraging to paint more, when I have a lot of work that needs to be seen.
