Can anyone advise me what sort of amazon firestick I can buy that gets English channels in Spain and how I set it up etc. I have asked around and nobody seems to know.

Thank you.

A firestick is a firestick. Makes no difference where you buy it. There are different models, not much difference in prices when they are on offer, higher end ones are for 4k content, which is usually only on services like Youtube, Prime and Netflix and needs a good internet speed and stability.

Official apps that are pre loaded are all determined by the postal address you are using for your amazon accounts , and where you are using it...so for the official uktv apps like iPlayer you need to run a VPN set to the UK (how you do this will be on the VPNs support pages) and an amazon account with a UK address. Use it with a Spanish address, and no vpn, and it will preload spanish tv apps and content.

Or hunt for a paid iptv service, and use the app that that service recommends.

Or hunt around for an unofficial app, that you have to "sideload" (usually via the downloader app) that gives access to free streams... plenty of websites and youtube videos about how to do this with a simple google search.

You will need a 4K fire stick.

You only "need" a 4k firestick if you want (and can get) 4k content on the apps you want to use (most "iptv" services dont carry 4k content at all, too much space on servers). Just because the stick is 4k, does not mean all content is in 4k! But for the extra 20 euros, it is an option
