I discontinued my tv and broadband when covid started. People have advised me to get a pay as you go dongal to put in my laptop in order to get a connection. Can anyone advise the best one to get? Also is there a device that I can buy that will give me more English channels on my TV as all of them are Spanish with the exception of one that is English. Any suggestions would be gratefully received. Thanks

Assuming you can receive Spanish digital TV eg DMAX, Energy, LaSexta, Paramount etc etc then there are quite a few English / American programs but you would have to go into your TV settings and select English playback language setting.

Should also have mentioned an online streaming portal I am looking at myself.
Seems to be documentaries and more for an annual subscription of 20$ which seems very cheap.

If you are using a dongle to get your internet whichever device you use for tv programmes whether it’s a firestick or a box will run from WiFi.
You need a dongle with plenty of speed otherwise you will suffer from so much buffering it will make things impossible to watch.
Not an expert on dongles at all but why don’t you go for a switch on switch off broadband supplier?

Also convenient to use a good wifi booster with 2 or better 4 W output, and eventually a beam for a stronger signal.

Take a look at Youtube Superbox Elite TV fully loaded box (I have one purchased from US) most English channels Sports and films you won't
regret it and you need a VPN (YouTube Stream Locator) only need a good Fibre broadband. I get everything for 20 euro for 600mbps a month.
