Good advice to use gestor.
Thank you all for the advice. Please excuse my ignorance but what is a COC and a Gestor, last car I bought was in 2006 from a garage and they did all the paperwork, but I’m sure lots have changed since then
COC certificate of conformity.Need it to register/Import car to Spain. Not impossible without it but much easier with it.Available for all European spec cars.
A gestor is an advisor, google gestoria in your area.

As I understand it they originally set themselves up to help Spanish people deal with officialdom because they could not read or write?

Thanks for the heads up, hoping to find someone looking to sell locally, and avoid the hassle of going from garage to garage
Don’t forget that if you buy private someone will have to pay for the transfer which can be expensive, and also be careful because when you buy the car you are also responsible for any outstanding suma and fines.

Looking to buy a good automatic car, mid size, ford focus / Fiesta, or similar. Willing to pay a fair price for a good car
Hi we got our Ford Focus estate from a car rental company in Malaga that we're upgrading their cars. Mileage was pretty good and it's 12 years old now still going strong and passing it's itv with no problems. Might be worth having a look further afield if you can or maybe we just got lucky 🤷♀️Good luck
