My husband who has Lewy Body Dementia lies on his back when in bed but has this weird habit of "throwing" his legs to each side and this has resulted in him having very painful hip pain in the morning .   I have tried pillows on each side of the legs.   Any advice or daft ideas would be welcome.   Now resorting to giving him a painkiller every morning as I can see the pain he is in.  If I try to move legs during the night he is in more pain.

Thanks Annemarie

You could look at the soft velcro straps that are available on Amazon. They could be used to restrain his legs.
