pulling up onto the pavement / roadside, in order to ‘nip out’ for your cigarettes and other errands.

Please have the decency to use one of the many available car parks accessible along that stretch of main road in Pinar de Campoverde.

It shouldn't be a ‘do what you want’ environment, there are restrictive road markings for a reason; those that flout the rules are no doubt the first ones to complain about dog owners or cyclists not acting in a responsible manner…

So please, if its you, please stop and find an appropriate parking space; your health might actually benefit from the stroll.

There are many things like this eg the casual endless banter between the Correos staff and a customer while we patiently wait our turn! But this is Spain, get used to it, embrace it, and if they continue to annoy you maybe you're in the wrong place!

Trouble is, I suspect most of the folks ‘suiting themselves’ are not Spanish 😳

You’re too presumptuous Steve, I have now clarified as suspect most of the Spanish folk are not to blame in this location and wouldn't read / heed my posting 😉😂

For 'rules of the road' have a look at the N332 website that is for English speaking people.   It is run in collaboration with officers of the Guardia Civil and has an English version of the Spanish equivalent of the Highway Code on it.

I'm always impressed with parking on roundabouts that is so popular here. Diagonal white line areas show imagination too. They still have a fair way to go to beat Yemenis, 12 lanes, six in each direction, you are in the far RH lane and you turn left, Love it.

Cairo was pretty good too,  12 lanes into 1 to get onto a narrow bridge over part of the Nile., Fantastic at 8:00am. Loved Cairo.

Keep Smiling

Lol the same in the meat section at my local dialprix.  … I keep expecting cilla black to appear to discuss & bring in more family members. Lol.   The older chica always asks about my dog & shows me photos of hers 🤷‍♀️. I’ve had to learn to breath very quietly 😜

I'm going to take a pic of something on the road near me and post it with a cryptic comment on the N332 site in the next few days.
